- You must memorize this (as with the Month and Century) table to avoid having to go through extra steps in calculating the Day of Week.  One way to do this is to associate the days of week with mnemonics and colors, which is why the colors are added here.

- When appropriate, when I do this technique for someone's birthday, i will recite for them the line from the scottish poem "Monday's Child is Fair of Face" that applies to the day of the week on which they were born.
