One Man’s Mnemonics for Memorizing the Days of Week and Months
1 | Sunday, starts with Sun, which is yellow, and sounds like ONE. |
2 | Monday like the color is Blue (Blue Monday), and Blue sounds like TWO. |
3 | The Tues in Tuesday sounds like “two Es”, and green and THREE has two Es |
4 | The Wed Wednesday, begins with a W, and so does the word White and white if FOR (FOUR) brides |
5 | The UR in Thursday makes it looks like purple. And Thursday is 5 because if you look at the back of a FIVE dollar bill, the number 5 appears in the lower right corner in PURPLE |
6 | The Fri in Friday is like the word FRY, and to fry something the fire has to be RED hot. (Also, Six is SEX in Latin, and sex, which is red hot too, is eserved for Fridays.) |
0 | Saturday starts with the same letters as Saturn, which has a big ring around it like a big 0, and Orange begins with an O too. |

4 | 6 | April means love, and love means red hot sex, and sex means six in Latin. Another way is that the 4th month is 6 and the 6th month is 4. |
5 | 1 | May I looks like May 1, thus a value of 1. (Or, the yellow in May means the sun (ONE) is coming more.) |
6 | 4 | June is FOR (FOUR) brides (FOUR is for JUNE, like WEDnesday, which is why it is white). Another way is that the 4th month is 6 and the 6th month is 4. |
7 | 6 | July is for fireworks and fire means red and red means SIX. |
8 | 2 | In August, people usually take TWO weeks vacation from work (Blue Mondays). |
9 | 5 | September, which has Labor DAY, is the 9th month and the value is 5 because people labor each day from 9 to 5. (Purple is a dark color and so is LABOR) |
