Examples of Dates

The following examples illustrate many of the nuances of the DOW technique.   The explanations are a little wordy, but the whole idea is to introduce you to some shortcuts in addition to giving you the explanations for how the answers were derived.  Each example is used five times, to find each of the day of the week, month, day, year and century.  Just click on the date to see the explanation of the answer.  But I first suggest you figure out the answers on your own first.

Notes for official purposes only:
14 15 16 17 18 19 20
- make one a year crossing centuries
- make one the biggest date by number and who what would happen if we did not reduce by 7 and 28 - December 31, 1799 (99+25) 5+31+5+99+24=164/7=23+3 = Tuesday
